Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is an annual celebration for all New Zealanders to show their support for the Māori language, an official language of this country.
Te Tiratū Iwi Māori Partnership Board proudly tautoko Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2025, recognising the importance of reclaiming and revitalising and strengthening our reo Māori for future generations. This kaupapa not only acknowledges the richness of te reo but also the cultural significance it holds for whānau, hapū, and iwi across Aotearoa.
Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is an opportunity to reflect on the role of language in shaping identity and building stronger connections with the whenua (land), whānau (family), and iwi (tribes). By supporting te reo Māori, we honour the past and embrace a future where Māori language and culture continue to thrive.
Join us this year in celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, and let’s come together to speak, learn, and support the growth of te reo Māori in our communities. Check out the official website for more.
